The policy only applies to the actions of Charlotte Wilcox Cake Design and users of this website, not extending to any websites that can be accessed from this website e.g. social media links, wedding blogs and other wedding supplier websites.

We will only collect relevant information that allows us to process your order and provide you with the best possible service. It includes both your names, address, telephone number and email address as well as event date, venue, time of ceremony and any dietary requirements.

  • Referrals from existing clients, venues and wedding planners

  • Paper order forms during consultations

We use your personal data to administer and deliver the services you have enquired about or booked. From initial enquiry through to finished product we may use your personal data to:

  • Respond to your queries

  • Provide a cake stetch, quote, customer order form, invoice and receipt

  • Send you updates on any changes to the services we provide you

  • Email you about upcoming events or services you may be interested in, only if you agreed to be on our mailing list.


Storing your data

We use all reasonable efforts to safeguard your electronic personal information such as firewalls, encryption, passwords etc. Please be aware that the Internet is not entirely secure and therefore we cannot be held accountable for any breaches in security.

Both our paper and online copies of order forms are kept for 7 years to comply with tax purposes. The paper copies will be kept in a locked cabinet, then securely shredded. Online copies will be deleted after 7 years. Any information from enquiries that did not result in a booking will be deleted immediately after the event date has passed. If we collect any payment information, for example for refunds, it will be deleted immediately after it has been used for it’s purpose.

During a consultation, you have the option to sign up to our mailing list. If you opt in, you may be emailed about upcoming events, news, special offers and seasonal items. These are sent through Mailchimp and have the option to ‘opt out’ at the bottom of each email. The only personal data we provide to use Mailchimp is your email address.
